First Lady Melania Trump visited Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt this week to meet with families whose babies were born dependent on drugs. She participated in a roundtable discussion about neonatal abstinence syndrome and the support system that is offered to families once they leave the hospital. We are grateful that she came to Nashville to bring attention to the smallest Tennesseans impacted by the opioid crisis and medical treatments that can help both mothers and children withdraw safely from the drugs. Take a look at the Tennessean’s coverage of Mrs. Trump’s visit here:
We’re only three weeks away from continuing the conversation on the opioid epidemic in Tennessee at our summit, “Working Together to Find Solutions to the Opioid Crisis” on August 24th in Nashville!
